The AAUP and AFT, working as affiliates, now offer occupational liability plans as a member benefit.
To access AAUP-AFT occupational / professional liability insurance:
- Join the AAUP or renew your membership here. All AAUP members are members of the AFT as well. Anyone in any AAUP local or chapter may purchase individual insurance.
- Email aftplus@aft.org, and request information about the professional / occupational liability insurance plan.
- In response, you should receive an invitation link from AFT Plus, a brochure with further information, and your member ID and local union number.
- Follow instructions to sign up for the plan. It should cost $6 / month.
